A fresh new take on the Benchmark Cigar Drawer
The Furman Drawer is a new Benchmark Cigar Drawer Humidor, expertly crafted with a Spanish Cedar interior and covered with some of the hardest of hardwoods. Our standard offerings right now as you see below are Texas Mesquite and Hickory. Holding 7-10 cigars in the standard size and 14+ in the XL size, it wears and weathers well and is made to outlast you, having no breakable hardware anywhere in its design. Both Mesquite and Hickory rank among the highest in the Janka Hardness Scale, which is used to measure the rigidity of hardwoods used in construction. The cigars shown in the photos below are 6 1/4" x 54 ring ga toros. Stored lengthwise, the drawer can accommodate cigars up to 7 3/8" long.
Underneath your cigars is a relief designed into the drawer bottom, sized to accommodate 60g Boveda packs. Between the large amount of Spanish Cedar built into the humidor, the mitered closure seals and the Boveda pack itself, a properly seasoned Furman drawer will supply ample humidity for many weeks between Boveda pack changes.
The XL size is essentially the same basic unit, with twice the capacity. The core of the humidor and the drawer itself are made twice as tall to make room for additional cigars, with the same relief in the drawer bottom to accommodate Boveda 60g packs. Both Standard and XL sizes are approximately 8"w x 10"L -- roughly the same size as many tablet computers. The Standard size measures 1.75" thick and the XL size is 2.5" thick. Either size fits comfortably into most backpacks, briefcases and messenger bags, including the Cigar Luggage Indiana, Fourteener, Sling Pack, Front Pocket Leather Backpacks and Drawstring Leather Backpack.
